Fullscreen white screen test

This white screen page shows pure white (#FFFFFF) across your whole display. Press the button or F to go fullscreen and Esc to exit.

What a solid white colour shows

  • Find dead pixels, which show as black dots.
  • Check screen uniformity and tint.
  • Use the screen as a soft fill light or to view dust on the panel.

For the full sequence, use the dead pixel test on the home page; it cycles all nine colours.

Tips for checking pixels on a single colour

  • Clean the screen first so dust is not mistaken for a fault.
  • Use full brightness for white and colours; use a dark room for black.
  • Look at the screen in sections, including the corners.
  • Anything that stays put in fullscreen is on the panel itself.

When to return a monitor or claim warranty

If the test shows a pixel that never changes, note its colour and position and take a photo with the test colour on screen. Most retailers accept returns within their own return window regardless of pixel policy, so act quickly after purchase. After that window, manufacturer warranty applies, and many brands only replace a panel once a set number or type of defects is reached. Read your exact model’s policy, and see our pixel policy and warranty guide for how the ISO pixel classes work.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make the colour fill the whole display?

Press the White fullscreen button or press F. Press Esc or the Exit button to leave. On phones that block fullscreen, the colour still fills the browser window.

What colour is used?

Pure white, #FFFFFF in RGB, which drives the panel as cleanly as a browser allows.

Will this damage my screen?

No. A solid colour is normal use. On OLED screens avoid leaving any static image for hours to reduce the risk of image retention.
